With that said, Carl, what is the usual return trip/ETA back in Boston?

If the weather cooperates, it's the best time you will have in your 928 all year" is 100% literally true. Not even emphatic enough (and that pic has been my desktop background for quite a while). Waynesboro, the Parkway, SITM - you just cannot do better!
Thanks for the endorsement Martin. The reason I try to get the guys out for this trip down is because I want everyone to have as great a time as I had. The Blue Ridge tradition was here before me when Kempf and Doc Mohr were doing it, and I want to keep it going (but safe and sane so we don't have all the rangers after us!) so 928 owners can experience one of the best roads anywhere in their sharks, on the way to the best event on the east coast, SITM.

And Jim, I have felt like my 928 days were numbered for a couple years now. Just how it is, I have a 928 at the moment and hope to have a good time doing the SITM trip.

We are getting an early start, so we'll be there by 3:30-4:30 most likely. There is a gas station just before the entrance to Skyline drive, just call me on the phone to see how our time is going.

Carl 508.335-6537 That's my cell, and service in the mountains is non-existent, so get me before that.

I finished thursdays drive with 108 miles of Skyline Drive, beautiful day smooth pavement and endless twisty goodness. It ends and changes names to blue ridge parkway where we pull off to the hotels in Waynesboro VA.
It's really tough to describe how perfect these roads are. I live for this every year.
We start again from BRP at 8am. Present are darien nunn, fraggle, jtwann22, my friend rick from MA, me, and maybe more.

Sounds like a fantastic drive and a dangerous crew!
