Thanks for all the help and advise. I agree that the green is the most viable and economical decision. So, I ordered one from the local glass guru. 550$ installed. My wife mumbled something about **** retention, but said she was thrilled that I found one! Once again THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!!!!

According to an email I received from Richard @ Prosourceglass on 4/16/11... they have bronze -with or without the top shade band.

Might have been worth the call to check... but, since you were in a hurry...

He told me it was SIGLA brand (not Chinese)... but who knows what he has in stock now -almost a month later.

Chinese glass has a bad reputation for poor quality control, with wavy lines visible at the sight level... make sure it's not Chinese.

If the only bronze he has now is Chinese, then get the green SIGLA glass. It's only green when laid on white paper... looks clear when installed (much lighter than the green glass of Coca-Cola bottles)

The fact they they must check everyone before they ship it says much about the quality control at the factory......and how many is the factory going to credit them for as "defective" due to distortion?? Then what happens to the rejects? Good luck with this one.

Jeff, Any waves in that recently installed glass? PM your cell # and when I get up your way, I'll give you a jingle. 77Tony
