Maybe I'm missing something, but I never liked the fact that the green backlighting on the headlight and fog light pod switches doesn't match the generally amber backlighting of the dash and console.

I recently changed them to amber. The color filters are lightly glued into the ****'s center piece on the sides. To change the color, I substituted an amber filter from a couple of spare rear window defroster switches.



Except for the hazard warning switch, they are now the same..

I would think that you could place some transluscent film in place of the filter to achieve any color combination that you like - perhaps an option so that you don't have to canibalize the pod switches?

Clear plastic and translucent paints should do the trick.

Buy some gel filters from a company like Rosco (well, one of its distributors really). You get any color you want and they are very thermally stable and resistant to burnout. Hot pink here I come! (j/k)

I just pulled out all the amber and green caps, effectively leaving them all white transluscent... them backlit it w/ red colored LEDs (chose your own color).
