No affiliation.

BUT,

James, this car has your name all over it! You need another OB don’t you?

I emailed the guy for more info and he sent me this Name: NMSpider.jpg
Views: 32
Size: 4.5 KB along with the number of the person he is selling it for.

Price seems a bit high but car looks nice.

Looks nice! One owner car, too...

I don't think James has that color, either.

Cloudcroft is about 2 hours from me. I could go check it out if someone is really, really interested.

Hey, that's the ca. 1980 only "economy version" supercar 928!

No rubstrips, no headlamp washers, no rear wiper, no rear glove box, 85mph speedo.

I had one of those...

It's got 16's. Those were an upgrade for an automatic, I believe.
I wouldn't mind if my car had no rear wiper or front squirters. 85MPH speedo... seriously?

Yea, seriously. I'm not sxure why Porsche did all the trimming, because the MSRP went up every year (IIRC).

I had a cop ask me how fast I was going, and I told him I wasn't sure becasue the speedo only went to 85mph.
He looked in, acknowledged, then proceed to write a ticket for 110mph. Ouch!

Denny,

You KNEW I would be all over this! Man, if I had room (and a few extra bucks) I'd be ALL OVER this car! I LOVE IT! The color is pretty unique and the car looks AMAZING! Love all the deleted things too. This is the way a 928 should be! $8k...you couldn't talk me out of my '81 for $8k for sure!

Never say never James - esp. in 'print'. I seem to remember a similar thread on a red car that you weren't going to get...

BTW, I love it too!

Yea, I better stop NOW Martin! Denny, you live to far away, I like my cars close enough so I can keep tabs on them and drive them every now and then! LOL!

I did email the seller but have not heard back yet.

I called the guy Jeff who listed the ad. He doesn't know much about the car, other than "if he had the $8000, he would have bought it himself." He does say it is being sold by the original owner. Got that guy's contact #, but it was incorrect. Will follow up if further info surfaces.

James, no worries! I have a climate controlled shop and keep all cars inside. I can also give it excersize as required! Once or twice a week?

It will be safe and happy here!

AND, you are welcome to come visit anytime you like!

Straight shot up 35. Nice drive! Shouldn't take too long in a 928!

Ever been to Minnesota? It's a cool place! (No pun intended. Summers are misurably hot and humid!)

I actually have a brother that winters in Weslaco, TX and comes back here for the summer.

I also have a nephew at Holloman AFB in New Mexico. That's how I learned about this car. He is less than 20 miles away from this car. He knows I like the 928, but, HE is not a 928 guy so he won't be much help as "remote eyes".

This is TO FUNNY! I dated Miss Weslaco 1986 back in the day! Last girl I seriously dated before I got married and she was a sorority sister to my wife! LOL!

OK I got the correct contact information.

How much interest is there for this car? JAMES?

Here's what I propose, James: I will thoroughly check out this car for you and take photos of everything. You pick up that brush guard in San Antonio and hold onto it for me until either 3rd Coast, or when I deliver this car to you...
