Can't you find some used Bilsteins and get them rebuilt?

Its reasonably cheap to do, plus you can get them custom valved to suit the S4 (I vaguely recall iSpeed (Carl) came up with a workable spec that the rebuilders can repeat?)

Roger - drop me a line/call when you get these in. Seems like a lot of things all of a sudden are hard to find; need to start stacking up on spares...

They have specs under my name that work well with 600lb front and 400lb rear springs. If the OP is using stock springs, the dampening is fine as-is.
Rebuilding Bilsteins is pretty cheap, especially seeing how few suspension choices we have for 928s.

You might try calling Bruce at Performance Shock. (707-938-5664, based at Sears Point/Infineon)
They can repair/re-valve/modify almost anything. We do a lot of business with them, and recommend them highly.
