Thumbs up The Fighter Movie

This has problably already been discussed but did not come up when I searched, just watched the fighter this past weekend which is a great movie BTW and noticed a parked 928S. Looks just like mine in that light!

Around 32 minutes in, blink and you miss it.

Bingo, Confirmation! At the movie theater I damn near jumped when I saw the 928. Wife thought I was nuts! Ha! I win! Can't wait to show her this thread tonight.

Nice catch, Troy! I saw the movie and didn't see the 928.

I know these are old postings but the car in the background is my brother's car from Rhode Island. He still has this car. They paid him I think was $350.00 to drive around the block then park it where you see it. I believe it was in another scene when he was driving around the block but that scene was cut. My brother's girlfriend set it up and they had to drive up to Lowel, MA., obviously where the film was shot. They got to meet Mark Wahlberg and they said they put on a very big spread of food for everyone there. The producers were looking for specific cars of that period for movie correctness in the background. The car is very cool except that this particular car is an automatic which for me spoils it for a sports car like this but it is still fun to drive.

I have to ask you then, how did you find yourself at this forum so long after the film?
I'm assuming that your not Mark Wahlberg but quoting him as saying the above last line of your post?
Or was adding his name just a typo all together?

Thanks for sharing

Hello,

No, I'm not Mark Wahlberg. I have no idea why this name appeared at the bottom of my post. I didn't put it there but the story I said is true. If Mark's name appears again below, know that I didn't put it there.

The 928 in "Boa vs Python" movie was a lot more animated...... sorry for the crappy video (and long pause), it was a while back.
