It´s a 5 speed ,maybe a good base for a race car or just for parts.

Looks nice, but "interior needs work" turned me off.

eh...people have started with lesser projects. Paint job and a little extra body work aside, you're left with a manual 86 928. Not bad deal I guess. Could probably get it for even lesser amount.

Picture 2 makes it look like there might be very little interior left.
Body panels don't look to like up quite correctly.
No front engine cross piece?

Five years ago, I would have been ecstatic to start with one that was in that condition.

c_span, in '96 there was a Golf Harlequin model in the US with a similar paint scheme. To me, it looks like rainbow flag stickers all the flaming **** put on their cars. I think I heard that in Sweden, where they force boys to sit down to pee, the government will be issuing these to all males who successfully earn a driver's license.

Back to the 928.

This car could be a good buy for someone who has the time, money, and doesn't mind sinking $10K to build a $5K vehicle. The 928 forum is full of guys like that.

The headlights are resting evenly despite having a replacement hood and fender. The panel alignment can be dealt with easily. Notice that it has no rub strips. '86 means it has ABS. It's a 5-speed.

On the '86 are "sport shocks" bilsteins?"

The only thing that bugs me is the liberal application of black rustoleum throughout the engine compartment. That's because it's going to be messy and look like crap as it flakes off.

It might be a decent buy for $2K.

This would be a good car to put Strosek or Jacquemond body kit on. I hope I can find a dirt cheap 928 at Hersheys....
