Default Looking for Center Console Trim Piece (AKA H-Trim)

My center console trim piece is cracked and I need to replace it. The part number I show in PET is 928 552 362 50 70B which is the one without leatherette.

Does anyone have this part off a car they are parting out? Below is a pic of what it looks like.

Those are snap happy biatches. I think if somebody was to produce a CNC machined aluminum or delrin replacement suitably powder-coated or colored, there may be a market...

New is less than $7 each and yes we stock the leatherette version but the leather is NLA I beleive.

I think Aluminum would be a problem as they need to flex slightly for removal/installation- hence the tendency to break as they age. Something will definitely need to be addressed as these will eventually become NLA as well.

Roger I think I will take the regular one without the leatherette. I also just broke the sucker more trying to fix my center vent.

The size of the plastic section is different for cars with a vinyl console or a leather console. This is due to the thickness of the material on the console. The plastic H section is not covered in material.
That is the difference between a H section made for a leather car or a leatherette (vinyl) car.

I've been following this thread. I am in the process of helping my friend put back together his recovered dash, consol and other peices. It was all vinyl and now it's all covered in leather. We have not yet gotten to this part of reassembly. So, what do folks do who have their consols recovered? This is likely a common question. Maybe Rob Budd or Paul C can offer insight.

The difference is slight. 1/16 of an inch or so.

I just sanded on both left and right sides to match the original. Then used some silicone spray to help slide it in.

I know mine is a vinyl one and the option codes do not show it as leather either.

I think I asked this before in some other thread but I cannot seem to locate my post. How do you get these damn things out? My console itself is overlapping the trim.

I take a couple of small flat head screw drivers and push/pull/pry until one edge comes out.

I thought these things were NLA so I kept getting pissed when I'd break one. It wasn't until this thread that Roger laughed at me and said he had a dozen or so in stock for less than $10.00.

One more question. What about the plastic shifter surround. Does that come out with the same method of removal, or do I have to take the radio out in addition to the AC *****?
