I have a snottly LS1 that I built for my last 02 T/A project, maybe I'll have to find a 928 with a bad motor? LOL

Here comes the hatred! Tee Hee...
Better to drop in an LS1 than scrap yet another 928.

If you're buying this car to look cool, do burnouts, and win stoplight races, you're buying the wrong car. It doesn't have the gears for it, and you'd be better served by buying a used mustang and setting it up for drag racing; you'll save alot of money that way, the parts are much, much cheaper (and when the cops impound your car and sell it when you get caught for street racing, it will be easier to replace too). 928's are high speed cruisers, with back road handling that is second to none for >99% of drivers (which includes pretty much everyone other than professional racers).

Clearly, you didn't actually read what the OP was curious about.

I don't think he's looking for a dragstrip car.

Thanks Buddy!

I've decided, I will stick with the 928 and any of them will be fine as long as it's in my price range.

I'm not looking for a 1/4 mile tire smoker, I've had many of those. I made it to the 928 meeting in Royal Oak on thurs and hearing Dennis' 82, sealed the deal! I've owned about every fast American car, but hearing his 82 almost made me **** myself! If anyone were sitting at a stoplight revving their Honda and the Weissach Edition wrapped up like he did in the parking lot, NOBODY would mess with it! That sucker is BAD! I have a vid that I'm uploading to YT, I'll post it up in the Michigan thread in a little bit if anyone is interested in hearing it. Unfortunately, the vid doesn't do the car justice!

I will have a 928 by the end of summer... Period.

Yea, Dennis's Borla setup with the 16V and hot cams is a great setup!
One of the best sounding 928's out there.

PS. They don't all sound that good...

You changed your avatar and got me all screwed up! LOL

His car does sound great... What all was done to his exhaust? Is it a catback? X pipe?

Just imagine though, some twerp in a civic with a 6 foot wing and a fart cannon revving up trying to intimidate, then he hears this...

I think the Honda would just putter away!

I've seen that vid. lol I think I've watched every 928 vid on YT. Sounds like it overpowers the camera mic.

Wonder what it sounds like in person? It has a nice quick rev to it!

The exhaust on a 4.5 or 4.7 has a lot left on the table. Add headers and a free flowing exhaust and you will be very happy!

With euro cams the car lost no TQ and picked up 20 plus HP. The car drives much faster than the dyno results.

Raced a GTS from 60 to 130 and had her by a fender show's she runs well. CIS is a awesome system, very fun to drive and great response!

My point is that my car is no GTS. It is a OB and they do have a bunch of potential! Just ask Hacker!

With a 150 hp shot of nitrous she sould scream!

I love the OB! I honestly don't think I would ever own an S4, Gt, or GTS...

P.S. I know the "OB" is supposed to stand for, "Old Bugger" but as far as I'm concerned, and I think most would agree with me, the OB stands for Original Body... That makes alot more sence than, old bugger...

Yeah I beleive the OB's are the MY to 79 w/ CIS. It is all good, people will have different opinion's. I quess nothing is written in stone.

To me the car to mod is the older lighter models. I would love to be able to afford a S4 to have as a DD as the interior is more current. It seems like a caddy interior, heavier more comfy!

Just my opinion, it really means nothing!

HUH?
It's Old Bugger.
Where James?
Naturally, you may have your own opinion, but I'm pretty sure "old bugger" was invented before I was born - or something like that.

Oh, and I like them too. I have a really really old OB (RROOB)
