Big fan of Dunkelblau! New aquisition looks alright, Steve.
While I got ya, is Hellbronze a rare color? Reason I ask is because a local 928 guy has an HB S4.

Light Bronze
Hi Jim,
Yeah, I'm trying to keep my tinker tendency in check with the blue car. It is so original that the usual minor upgrades for cosmetics/performance seem like the wrong thing to do, at least until it gets over 80K or so. Not that it is otherwise a particularly special car, just hasn't been messed with or driven in the last decade And it has grey-green int.
I can't say for certain regarding the Hellebronze production numbers, the GTS a few posts earlier caught my eye though! I have not run into another one at a 928 meet yet, but I do seem to see a few particularly in '83 when I'm shopping for cars. I'd estimate that it is one of the less common, but there are so many red/black/silver/grey/white cars, anything else seems marginally rare.
I posted in response to ISpeeds opening to all, rather than the one-off theme.
For most other enthusiast cars I've owned, production numbers have been tracked down and posted up and often there is an online calculator that ticks through the VIN and keys out to the your-car-is-one-of level, thanks to the efforts of a few vin stalwarts, I hope we get there someday!

If only it was a 5 spd with no rub strips...but by the time you get down to that degree of resolution...well, I don't have the patience or the financial elasticity to run down a car to that degree of exactitude! And, I actually wanted an auto for sanity/practical purposes.
Appreciate the praise for it, you can see it at Frenzy if not before...perhaps there will be a pre-Frenzy tech/shine session in Leesburg in the interim??

Not a rare color in the early cars, but pretty rare to extremely rare in the later cars!

Here's my 87 S4 in Veneziablau Metallic (L36P) aka Venice Blue Metallic. Picture is with Richard Griot at Griot's Garage in Tacoma, WA. I stopped by on my way home; a 2,227 mile journey from Seattle to Dallas.

Thought I would update this thread as it looks like I have the only Amethyst Metallic on the list:
So the stats on this car:
Exterior: Amethyst Metallic F9
Interior: Code 99 which turns out to be Seidelgrau 5VT
Made by the Exclusive program

I think Tom Falkenburg has a 91 GT in Amethyst Metallic too... used to be here in the NW... (affectionately named Barney)
