Crank, no start......
Ok 1986.5 928, 32 valver. Died while driving, had to coast her up the street to my street. crank , start in any shifter position. pushed car to driveway and began the illustrius ezk/crank sensor diagnosis. No spark, no injector pulse, and fuel pump not being energized.
Crank sensor ok. swapped out EZK/LH with known good units - ok. WTF!
Then...........
Found a post that i cant find here now, but it basically said that the positive battery cable also had an extra connection to CE. The positive to the starter was ok but the smaller accessory wire was corroded and loose. Cleaned it up with BG battery "juice" Tightened connections.....hit the key and immediately felt like a dufus for spending 4 hours chasing computers and sensors.......but its like they say....its always in the last place you look
