I have a problem with remote unlock/alarm disarm which may be related to the alarm control unit.
One unit is extensively described in 1991 tech service info - the box which lives under rhs seat 928.618.260.00 with yellow and black connectors. This controls "central locking, interior lights and anti-theft feature".
There is a much smaller black plastic cigarette packet sized box which is tucked above the CE panel. Other threads have referenced an alarm control box in this location so I'm wondering what does this box do that's not covered by the unit under seat?
My car has Porsche UK importer fitted remote fob so is the box above panel related to that remote system and various ultrasonic sensors in cabin?

"...importer fitted..."
Once those words appear, it is pretty much impossible for us to give you any meaningful help. An aftermarket alarm or remote is almost always a real problem on a 928.
