mine needed about 5 feet of leverage to break the bolt.
I removed the stud, as I replaced the bushes, and reinstalled with a new bolt and the nut facing out.

I installed these control arms last year. This job is done much easier on a hoist, but can be done on jack stands. The job was done with the engine in the car. I would suggest a press to remove the old studs to install in the new a arms. It save time and ALOT of hammering on the studs. Very happy with the end result.
A note to lubricate all remaining bushings as the suspention tightens up and a suspention creak can develop. Once the bushings were lubricated the creak was gone.

Good to know thanks!

I got the passenger side almost off however the upper ball joint is still connected as the nut keeps spinning. The little hole in the center where the allen wrench is suppose to go is completely rust and corroded. Any ideas? The driver side went off perfectly.. the passenger side has been a real pain.

Never seen one with an Allen wrench hole.

Squish the ball joint up with visegrips to stop the ball spinning then undo. I've found that the pain associated with the joint spinning is far less than the pain of a joint that won't unstick when the nut is off.

Use a prying bar to force to A-arm down, this loads the ball joint. Btw the ball joint my car was so loose there was no way to remove the nut. Wound up cutting the nut of. If you do becareful not to cut the ABS sensor leads as well.

I would try to use a pickle fork to put pressure on the nut along with some heat, if that fails try a nut splitter, if that fails use a sawzall. That little hole in the center must be for a zerk fitting.

Down pressure with a long bar and then zip it with the impact gun.
