Maybe you should use the clutch as the weakest link in the power train. Better 1000 $ for clutchdisks than 10000 for the transmission.

Mark, relax. Im only trying to help. yeah yeah yeah, you dont need my help,.... find.

back to business.

please help me understand how the double clutch makes the problem go away, and do you have any video of you doing it? like to check it out. Dennis has a video on you tube of his process. is this what you do?? is this what it sounds like?

is it because the synchros are so week that by pushing the shifter in the next gear, they cant spin up the gear set and torque tube to the matching speed?

Here is why im thinking this. say you are going 100mph and you put the clutch in. its very difficult to put it in gear, but if you bang rev the motor it slips right in. there must be enough drag on the that allows the engine to pre-spin up the main gear set before engagement. Its a critical timing issue during the shift, I think.

anyway, the reason I even commented , as that Ive seen a lot of shiftng on videos, many of which would no work even on my car for clean shifts. I thought if you hadnt tried something that worked for me 5 years ago, it might work for you. No need to take offence. Scot was racing 911s for years and when he started racing 928s, he had the same issue with the OB gear box. he doesnt have this problem now. he heal toes fine, (has the pedal setup to do this as it is very tough with stock pedals), but it was a more aggressive blib that solved his issue too.

And as Jim says, it gives a little less rear braking and gives a little better control trail braking the entrance of the tough turns.

my diatribe is over.
