GOOGLE says 4 hrs from Pittsburgh to Hershey. If it wasn't for the damn smokies on the PA turnpike, I know I could make it in 2 with the Shark.

No doubt! Last year I was cruising along being good and the new 997TT blows by me and disappears - he stayed in the left lane the entire time. I like my license too much for that!

It's 3 hours tops. Google is not accurate at all on those things. I use it only for the maps, and not the analysis. Also, get Wolfie to join you - he's been there before, and he is due for a shark trip. You could get Kyle to come down from Erie with his 997 too.

Don, kick one back for me

We usually head up and back the same day, so normally no hotel. This year may be different as my wife and daughter are coming up, too.

Rick: According to MQuest, you are 15 miles closer than I am. They are figuring 54.58 mph for me. Hmmmm. The seed has been planted.

Here's an (open road) challenge for all attending, honor system, Who can average the highest mph and not get a ticket? Usual disclaimer applies. Should be a separate class (bladder class) if you subtract pit stops.

Default Long Isl. and NYC riders?

To keep the thread together I'll try here first.

I need a co-pilot for the trip, or a ride or caravan? Subject to the thermostat checked out and the PK clamp installed on the drive shaft in the next month; I would be leaving Port Jeff at 6 AM on the 23rd. Anybody interested?

If I still have my car I will be there as well. Missed it the past few years due to kids sporting events but this year is finally clear, Watch, it will rain buckets.

Are you coming down 81? You could always hook up with Poconos PCA. We're having breakfast in Hazleton before convoying out.

Does anyone have a nice overhead shot of the parking so we can stake out a 928 area?

Ed, I sent an E-mail to Mike. I haven't heard back from him. Do you know if he getting my e-mails?

Is going out and coming back the same day from Pittsburgh the normal practise? I've never been to the Porsche swap meet so how much is there to see in one day?

How far is your drive?

I'll take your challenge Steve.

Rick - try to reach mike thru facebook or call him. His email is funky, and he doesn't seem to always get mine. I know he goes on fb tho (I don't normally, however). Also, it is an easy day trip - 2.5 hrs to 3 hrs up, get there early, look for where the other sharks park (ussually by the concourse pen) and enjoy. Most parts are for 911s and 944s, but you can find some gems. You can stay there too and have dinner with other p-car guys. See the website for those details (linked somewhere above).

My drive is about 3h. 928 guys usually end up at the Applebee's I think, I've only been up there once. As a motorhead with a 914 and a 928, and an appreciation for the 911, it's always a great walk around. Last year there was even a 904(beck?) and 959 (replica) in the sea of parking. 968 guys had a bbq going.

I brought a couple hundred bucks, wish I had brought a couple thousand.

Thanks Ed. I will give him a call. I don't do FB at all.

The 959 was Kevin Micheal's. I hope he'll be around since it's close.
