a "built" V6 in an old stang......so its worth just about nothing....and every $$$ he spends is flushed.....sure 928's aren't exactly great "investments" either...but at least they aren't run of the mill ex rental cars like V6 stangs are.....

I wouldn't race him...no point of it.....just tell him you only race V8's....should drive him NUTS..... Or if you really want to **** him off tell him to come on down to a REAL RACETRACK at Thunderhill.....and he can run against me in my stock 1984 automatic "station wagon".... I 1,000,000% guarantee he will loose in spectacular fashion.....

Damn are you really that good that you can pass an exige, new 911 and an M coupe all which are faster than you with ease? You must be a great driver, because those cars should eat your 928 in a straight line. Im not here to argue, but you made it look easy do you track your car alot?

Let's put a better driver behind the wheel and you'll see that C5 lap you over and over and over.... Unless there is something wrong with the chassis setup.
No way you would ever catch Jean-Louie in his EuroS and there are plenty of slightly modified C5's he cannot hang with, much less the "estate".

The Mustang I'm referring to laps Road America on par with Joseph Fan. So unless you are now going to claim the estate can hang with his 928......

I was just busting your ***** before because this Mustang is a full blown race car like Fan's. It still has a "stock" chassis like his car, but just as modified.
To come back with that video? Sorry, I've seen 911 GT3's get passed by stock 928's (mine). That doesn't mean the 928 is a faster car and you are not going to see me posting a video about how much faster my 79 is than a GT3.

+1

I'll never stop being amused by people who brag about beating faster cars in the hands of slower drivers, or people who simply do not want to push it that hard.
I have video's of my stock 79 passing much faster cars on the 5,000+ foot straight at Road America. You don't see me posting them while saying: "Look, my stock 79 is faster than a Viper!!!!"

Poweder coating the block insulates it. It's the total opposite of what you want.

If he can drop $10K into the engine, he can afford the insurance on a V8.

I checked out the videos on the V6... and while it no longer sounded like a V6, the [yawn] sound of it just [yawn] idling was [yawn] quite un [yawn] inspiring... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Really? Stroked a V6? Unbelievable. That's like a 400 pound woman getting a boob job. Kind of pointless.

But SHE feels better about it...

Can a mustang have an inferiority complex all on it's own too?

I am not really sure about all of the bashing. There are probably a lot of people that think buying a 928, falling in love with the car and throwing money at it to make it reliable and then throwing more money at it for more performance. To each his own and thank God we are all different and have different tastes. I have seen some people over the last 36 yrs of driving and modding cars do some silly stuff. What I have in common with them is their love for cars!

I really see nothing wrong with stroking a 6, he just should have added boost!

Nothing better than blowing the doors off a V8 mustang, camaro etc, looking at the guy at the next to you at the light, he asks you what you just dusted him with and you say a six.....priceless!
