Default Flowmax Tru X-Pipe??

Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with the FLOWMASTER TRU X-pipe...??? It's listed in AutoAnything as an X-Pipe for a 1986 928... I'm thinking it will fit fine if we remove the cats, but havent found anything on here about the quality, installation, any issues, etc... The price is $86.00 - so thats the good news.

Any insights or experience with this item is greatly appreciated!

Are you sure you;re not confusing it with the Flowmaster Tru-X?

All the reviews only talk about the sound it makes. I'd be more worried about performance numbers. And sorry, no I don't have it installed.

For $86 what do you have to lose, it has to be better than a non-xpipe.

Try it and let us know what happens.

Not necessarily. Just because it's shaped like an X doesn't mean it's going to be better than a properly built Y, or "true duals" with an H pipe.

The design / angle of Louie's design (now produced by the Motorsports guys in Utah) is no accident. This one is about the total opposite.

$86 for the piece, then the cost of fabrication, and to prove its worth, dyno time with before & after results compared to the "original"

I say spend the money on the proven piece, don't wast the cash on this stuff.
