Headlamp or mechanism rattle

lubricate #9 locking segment
and the shaft areas where #1 pivots
You are aware that the headlamps will pivot free from the base supports,
to check this and lube it ,
remove the headlight cover,
then lower the lamps,
then use a hooked wire to grab the back of the lamp,
pull gently this will unsnap the link and the light will pivot up

Those linkages are good and tight, no slack. It's better than before and I'm going to take a drive on my local test track.
EDIT: I'm back and the subject rattle is gone, or at least not noticeable from the driver's seat. Still have a couple of others to track down, but that one was the worst.

Are you referring to the bar in the front of the engine bay and associated linkages and c-clips? If so, yes, those are all tight. The noise is definitely coming from beneath the headlamp assemblies.
