If this one needs rebuilding in the future (it is a used part), there are a couple of experts that frequent this forum.
Any warranty would be for parts only.

No way any parts seller will pay for labour, especially a flakey ebay seller.

Lesson learned.

Buy from 928 International or one of the other approved 928 vendors. Pay a couple bucks more and save yourself the grief.

I'm totally lost as to why you put in known wrong parts in the first place, and have done a few other things. It's no real surprise it's ended in tears.

I'm sorry, but that gets a +1 from me. Search, learn, do.

He didn't install wrong parts.
Instead, as I understand it, paid to have his S4 torque converter rebuilt.
And had to use his existing TC cover.
Used the LA company as a supplier after endorsements here.

Might be a good idea, now, to pull the trans out while the process is still fresh in your mind.
Replace the seals as indicated.
Just chalk it up to experience.

You won't be the first guy on rennlist, and not even on this thread, to have redone a job.

Where you loose respect is in logic. Think about it. It might make sense to master this leak, not to recover by adding an easier way to fill the transmission. Thats the kind of Ford/GM redneck approach that separates a new practicioner from the pack here. Do it right on these cars or punt. Took me too long to learn that. Spent too much time taking shortcuts, especially the first year.
