Oh that's just lovely.

I really like the lack of an aircleaner. Stevie Wonder said it looked good to him.

He probably had to bend the hood to get the extra 16 valves into that 1980 engine.

Actually, there are two on ebay / craigslist, both with 80/85 confusion in the titles.

(the honest mike car is in FLA, kinda looks like a rennlister car btw, sailmed?)

MEANWHILE, the Charleston MS "$3800 starting bid" car was at $2200 (negotiable) a couple days ago.....

1985 Porsche 928 S - $2200 (Charleston)

1985 Porsche 928 S - Needs body work, no damage to the frame, still drives. 32 Valve V8 Engine, runs strong, 150,xxx miles, tires apporximately 80-85% tread, new-fuel filter, oil change, extension arms for hood and rear hatch, new plugs and wires. Will eventually need a paint job, seats will need reupholstered (although they aren't in too terrible shape), rear cargo carpet ($65), possibly floor mats ($160). will take best offer.

That car happens to be a very rare antique that would be worth $40k or more if it were fixed up...would be perfect for a Barret Jackson auction indeed.

Wait a minute...I just realized that this is another "Honestmike" car!!!!! This guy is great.

Two good rules to live by....

1) Never trust anyone that says, "trust me".
2) Never buy a used car from someone with the nickname "Honest".

oh yeah...and don't play poker with anyone named "Slim".

Damn good advise Derek but you forgot "don't pull the mask off the Lone Ranger and you don't mess around with Jim."

Barrett Jackson does tend to encourage people to get liquored up before the auction starts.

having once owned a car purchased (not by me) through Barrett Jackson I am guessing they should offer a free and open bar, after the auction

...how the 928 was represented and its actually condition? Guy I got it from bought it from the online photos and description, over the phone, with no firsthand or professional inspection. Big time mistake....he paid nearly $14,000 with commissions and shipping for a $3000 car, nearly a parts car to be truthful. No place did they state accurately the condition of the car.....looked good in the photos, must be good, huh?
