Earlier this year I went to look at a car near me. the ad read:
1985 Porsche 928 S
104K miles, Texas Title, almost new Z rated tires, newer tan leather seats. Needs touchup and carpet.
$3800
The first 2 pics are from his posting..... check out the actual pics I took when I saw it! Newer seats, eh.

Now that is funny. How does a interior get that BAD! I guess years baking in the sun and a lot of rodents thinking that the interior is a 5 course meal!

Here's a classic that just popped up. Price doesn't even matter, the prose says it all ----

"it's a 79 automatic v8 about 76k miles on it, needs a little bit of work , like a torque tube rebuild, interior is a 8 out of 10... only thing that makes it bad is the plastic replacement dash pad someone stuck on there that is peeling back. everything else looks like new.. brakes are new, there's been about 10k worth of stuff done to this car. i've only owned it about a month, and have driven it about 400 miles. i am in the process of replacing the fan belts at the moment, i have videos of it

i'm not selling it because it's broken, i'm selling it because i want to buy my girlfriend a sportbike so we can ride together this summer. it's a sound car overall. i just.... don't LOVE it... i bought it out of necessity, and .. now it is no longer necessary so i'm selling it. but like i said, if you want details, find me, PM me, call me, that's how i know you're serious. it's a waste of time posting and posting and posting to a forum i don't even belong to aside from this 1 post."

I am just guessing here but I suspect someone has just learned about TBF...and yes, it is an automatic, on Houston CL today

"NEED to sell quickly! I have a 1989 Porsche 928 GT that needs to GO. Bought it 2 months ago from San Antonio. Car is clean inside and out, just has something wrong with the motor. Turns over slowly, had plans of rebuilding the motor and keeping it for myself but plans have changed and must abort ASAP. Have all service manuels for car as well. Asking 4k Or best offer TODAY which is less than what I paid just 2 months ago. Kelly blue book is around 12k in good condition for these cars. Clean title, call me TODAY"

I like how the dealers always say 'just serviced' ... translation, they did an oil change ;-)

OMG!!!!!!! He was asking someone to pay for that car? Seems like he should pay someone to -- put it out of it's misery.

They forgot "stored outside with the windows down" and "needs light electrical debugging, power seats don't work"
