Paragon still list the early seal types.. but only scraper rings for 30 and 38mm.

http://www.paragon-products.com/Brem...kits-early.htm

In case they're not available, I also thought it was possible to upgrade an early caliper to the later dust boot type by using complete piston kits?

edit: Just re-read the tech bulletin Chris posted above - they can be converted to the later style with piston kits.. probably around $400 I'd guess?

With new style piston possibly yes. But not without it or modification to old style pistons.

The problem isn't providing a piston that has a groove for the new style seal. The OD of the new style seal is too big to fit in the caliper recess. I'm trying to find a solution, too. I'm hearing that the correct OD scrapers need to be purchased as a kit with piston.

Either way, a new style boot isn't going into a scraper type caliper, regardless of the piston used. Actually, if some adventurous soul could split the caliper and machine the scraper bore to match the new style boot OD, it could be done, but splitting calipers introduces more problems, and is cautioned against.
