Well, a brand new ZR1 TR6060 can be ordered through your local GM dealer for $2900 and the differential runs around $2000. Used Z06 assemblies pop up on ebay all the time for $1500-3500. The biggest issue is a crossmember, followed by a modified torque tube then cv adapters.

That price seems really reasonable, I reckon add another $500 for the other parts required (clutch pedal and all other parts that I will need to discover)
And then add another $800-1000 for the machining and modifications.

Would a machine shop (or an engineering shop as they're called here) be able to manufacture/modify that?
1.) build a cross member from aluminum or would steel be better?
2.) The torque tube could be machined, shortened and welded right?
3.) The CV adapters can be CNC'd from a block of steel, or is there a better option?

Did anyone document it, or does anyone have pictures?

Serious considerations going into this.
