Default Having New keys made

hi, for my former 928 I had a spare set of keys made. A company in Australia (I Think) made them from a photo.

Can't Remember the name of the company, and I need a spare set again.

Please help

Mm

THey send a full key, how do I from where I am now with just -1- key, to a pair of those nice lit Porsche key fobs, that use the little stubs of a key?

Jeff,

They can also provide the key that you put in the lighted key head...at least they used to do that...

You send them REALLY clear high def pictures of your key, and they will replicate from the photos. Then get the plastic heads (Vendor's, EBay etc.) and put 'em together.....Voila!

Worked like a charm for me. 928 and Bike.

They can provide the key blade - on one of the factory-original Huf blanks. Costs a little more (its steel - not brass).

Then just order a 944 538 041 00 from your vendor of choice - its the lighted key head.

The Huf blade push-locks into the head.

Measure the length of the key blade - the metal part up to the plastic is approx. 41mm on non-alarm keys, and 53mm on alarm keys (I just did a rough measure using a tape measure - so +/- 1mm).

I measured two keys both with correct Porsche key heads - if you need verification on some aftermarket SIL keys I can go find a pair to measure.

Also, the non-alarm locks have 5 tumblers and thus cutouts on the key. ALarm locks have 7 tumblers.

Their service is fast and flawless. I bought two of the Huf blanks cut from photos. Both both keys are perfect and function perfectly. Can't recommend Keys4Classics enough.

Use a scanner to photo the key.
