Nice 87 5 speed
Just saw this on Ebay. Looks very impressive. Impressive price too. I do not know what they did to the hatch carpet. Does anyone know anything about this car? Vin# WP0JB092XHS860538.

This is the Syosset car we were talking about last week.
I would sooner grab one of Michael Wilhoit's cars over this one.
All I can gather is it was purchased in Arizona or New Mexico but no other details.

I missed that discussion thanks for letting me know. The only reason this got my attention was that it is almost a twin to mine. If anyone is interested I might sell mine for just a little under that 38K. LOL

its severely overpriced.....for that price it would have to be well under 10k miles...not 30k...thats GTS type $$$ I think they would be lucky to sell it for $25k.....

At that price it be for sale for years and years. Way too many miles and too many flaws. That may be the most unrealistic price I've ever seen on a 928. They probably picked it up a dealer's auction for $10k max.

...also keep in mind that Arizona is one of the few "Title Wash" states, allowing a previously Salvaged Title to go through a process to become a Clean Title again, so verification of the facts would be imperative !!
Unrealistic price, unless the buyer has zero knowledge of a 928 or a computer.

Hard to say.
Looks polished to within an inch of its life.
Apparently this sales methodology has some measure of success with some clientelle.
We saw a beautiful original GTS manual trade hands 2 weeks ago at a price.
Maximum price, with primping and pimping through specially devised channels, was likely much higher.
If you just "earned" a 59% bonus on a $325K base and wanted to buy a vintage car for dad on the way home, this could be it.
This type of car has an appeal across a very wide set of value equations.

I'd say anything under $20k is okay.....closer to $15k is getting realistic...
