Tried running PET 7.2 after installing on Windows XP keep getting: "informations on the used hardlock version of DLL: 1.62." "While addressing the Hardlock, the error 7 occurred." "Ini Station=Lokal". What do I do to get it to run? Does anyone know? Thanks for any help.

As a guess you are running the 64 bit version of XP yes ???

I do not think there is a fix for it as yet, the only way it seems to work without the Hardlock error is in 32 bit Windows...

Computer came with XP Professional Service Pack 2 installed---I guess it is 64 bit? Don't know much tech stuff about computers--know some tech stuff about my OB. Guess I'll just de-install PET 7.2 or maybe leave installed until and if a fix arises? Thanks again for the help. Best, Greg

I put it on my win 7 and it will not run,
I also am getting the Ini Station=Lokal

it will not run under win7 64 bit , you will need to download Windows Virtual PC and install that first. That gives you a complete XP 32 bit environment under win7 ( compatibility mode won't work, as there is no way to tell hardlock to run 'as c ompatible).
Once you have loaded virtual pc, start it up, then put in the pet 7.2 disc and let it install.

It DOES run in Windows 7 32 bit.... but NOT in Windows 7 64 bit....

still wont run on win 7 with the XP boot up fix , it looks cool though I can see PET in red letters and then a picture of the world

I installed Pet 7.2 on XP Service Pack 2 32bit without any issues, then tried to install it on XP Service Pack 3 32bit and was getting the hardlock error 7 message, after some searching I found a fix here http://files.mytouareg.info/autoinde...TKA_7_Updates/ download the new_aspirin.zip file
extract the files to a folder, double click on VW-AU.exe located in the emulator folder, click on install and start box, then start Pet 7.2. I do not have windows 7 to test it on but its worth a shot.

I tried to load the PET 7.1 and it also has the hard lock fail also loaded win virtual pc
kinda getting tired of screwing around with all of this nothing is working...
Of course I am not MR computer so it could also be something i missed
The new win 7 program is nice though

Stan, it's not the XP boot up fix, you must get the windows virtual pc, load it under windows 7, 32 bit or 64 bit win 7 doesn't matter.
Launch it, then put in the pet cd ( won't work from a saved file, must see a cd) install - i have done this now on 4 pc's here, and it works every time, even run son a mac runnig virtual XP pc .

Ahh I think i found my issue i have Win 7 Home Premium and Virtual PC will not support this system it only works in Win 7 professional
