Shouldn't the fronts be 225/45/18 to match? What about the ABS?

That doesn't effect ABS, only AWD on cars like Audi and Subaru.

I remember reading somewhere that having too much difference between front and rear tires makes ABS freak out. Something like don't go over 5% difference?

I have heard reports of some having their ABS lights come on after driving over a certain speed for a certain time with too large a difference between front/rear tire diameters. I have also heard that some cars do not have any ABS error, but it may reduce ABS braking effectiveness:

Since the rears are ~26" in diameter and the fronts are ~25" I just wonder why not run 225/45/18s ~26" and have the same diameter all the way around?
