Default '87 instrument cluster, take a look at this pic...
Hi, after almost two years without owning a 928 I'm considering getting back in the game. I'm looking at this '87 S4 now, but check out this instrument cluster?!?!

I't looks like my old '81. Is it correct that early S4s had the cluster w/o the electronic displays?

Interesting ... didn't the contrasting upper door panels, A-pillar posts, etc go away before S4/1987 models?

I've seen pictures of a '91 S4 with that same combination. In fact I may do it that way (except for the a-pillars and door cards) when my interior gets the "Champagne" flavor early this summer.

The digital dash is somewhat problematic and very expensive to replace parts.....be happy this does not have it or airbags for that matter...
most S-4 cars I have seen had two tone interiors exception being all black.

It sure has sports seats. And lsd, and sports suspension, and no sin roof.
