Default Are theseEuro S2-cams?

I am wondering about upgrading to S2-cams on my Euro S. Just checking to be 100% sure it is the correct cams. Here are the number stamped on the cams:

928 105 211 00
928 105 212 00

Thank you!

What numbers are stamped on the back of the cams? From memory you want 211/212 for S2 cams.

OK, that sounds right then, the seller tells me they are stamped as quoted above, 211 and 212.

Thank you Greg!

Those 928 105 211 00 and 212 00 would be M21/22 cams, 84-86.

What advantages do you expect to see over the M11/12 cams that would be in your early Euro S car?

I have the earlier Euro S cams in my car. They can obviously make pretty good power as well.

you already have euro S cams, and you are upgrading to the euro S cams of a later year? wow, thats a lot of work for 5 degrees more duration, and the same lift. Dont know if that is worth it. Ive built 2near identical engines using the S 82 cams and the devek B1 cams (better than later euro S cams) and there has been very little difference.
one made 292rwhp but had equal length headers later , but made near this when it was first built too but was down about 280rwhp, and jumped back up after the new headers.
the next was 290rwhp, and had b1 cams, normal headers, although a slightly smaller exhaust tubing 3" vs 3.5" of the first motor. i think at best, this engine might make 300rwhp with equal length headers , 3.5" exhaust. so we are reallly talking about a 3-4hp difference, as the euro S cams are not what the Devek cams were.

Mark's right, the difference is tiny. 10hp when the S2 was new, and probably half of that was CR going from 10:1 to 10.4:1. I'd focus on the exhaust system.

I would expect to see less power.

Hmm, I see I even had a post in that thread! I am not an expert on cams by any means, but i seems beneficial to have as much "meat" as possible on the lobe. I am thinking the S cams will open later but open faster in the beginning?

I am glad I checked this out before buying those cams! If Greg went with S cams, that is certainly the way I am going...

As for "lot of work", my engine is in pieces anyway, it would not matter much what cams i put in!
