Default Rear Cam plugs and O ring leaking

How hard is it to replace the rear cam plugs and o ring? Mine is leaking on the exhaust. It's kinda tight back there . I switched from 20w-50 to 10w-40 so I think the thinner oil is causing the leak.

Tight but doable. You will end up lying on the engine...

Two choices - new O-rings for the old plugs, or change the plugs to the later self-sealing type. If you change the plugs, you will also need the little hold-down arms. Check the front ones for leakage as well.

I don't like 10W-40. 20W-50 conventional, or 15W-50 Mobil 1.

Thanks WallyP! I'm going to remove the air filter housing and see if I can unscrew it lying on the engine. The front ones look better than the rears. Our part store no longer carries 20W-50 and Porsche recommends 0w-40 or 5w-40 on all models. I read on an Australian 928 website that using 20w-50 is the best oil for our cars with no engine wear for warmer climates such as southern California. Can I use those viscosity enhancers? or may be oil for high mileage cars that has sealant conditioners? I know there are different part numbers for the 16v and S4s o rings. Car is getting old with 180k miles.

Check Walmart for the oil - our local Walmart carries Mobil 1 15W-50. Your parts store should be able and willing to special-order oil for you.

I would not use any viscosity additives.

Thanks WallyP. Our Walmart don't carry any Mobile1 50 weight not even regular 20w-50 they are going with the best selling type such as 5-w30 10w-30 and some 40s. My last question is there are 6 of these o rings but I can't seem to find the other 2. I see 2 in the front and 2 in the rear. Am I missing some thing or is it hidden under a cover?

I haven't seen 15W50 Mobil 1 in Walmart over almost 3 years now. I really need to find another Walmart up here.
