Default Deliveries from 928sRus impacted by Weather

DFW was hit by an ice storm on Monday night followed by snow. Most secondary roads were impassable until yesterday. We have not received deliveries from Porsche since Monday along with both FedEx and UPS. The wholesaler trucks made it through for the first time yesterday and I made some shipments last night.

Our employees have been unable to make it to work – luckily Laura can work remotely from home.

This morning we received another 3” to 5” of snow so the situation has gone from bad to worse. It maybe Monday before we get back to normal.

Please let me know of urgent requirements as I can drop ship certain parts from warmer States.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Roger

Brad,
Thanks for the offer but without parts I am a little compromised.
The parts are not even making it to Texas never mind Double Oak.

I have about 7 packages that all hit Chicago the day of the blizzard.

Packages via UPS are on their way, all but one delivered.

FedEx? Still in Chicago.

UPS > FedEx when it comes to snow storms

Distribution companies: (Dayton, UPS, FedX world, Vitran, Yellow..etc )
At work, I was very surprised that all of our tractor trailer companies made a 4 hour early p/u on Monday due to the weather. Tuesday, my company closed due to the weather. Wednesday, all tractor trailer companies were closed except for UPS, which p/u 6 hour early. Thursday, normal operation for all trucking companies. Friday, i would assume back to normal.

School systems, INDY region ...closed all week. Due to residential neighbor hoods and school parking lots being an ice berg.

So, yes everyone has been effected by the weather. I had 1.25 ice on my car that monday night. It took me 1 hour to get my car cleaned up and 1 hour to drive home. (normally a 25 minute drive)

Most interesting thing i noticed on Tuesday, kids ice skating around the neighbor hood on the side walks. No worries, about 1-4 inches of ice everywhere.

I think i would rather of had the 20 inches of snow just west of us. LOL

I fell at least half dozen times on the ice.

You know... as I thought about it... I can't drive my 928 even if I wanted to. Summer tires and snow don't mix.
