This car was posted a couple weeks ago. Not a GT, I spoke to the guy selling it for his "client" and got a very rude "i've disclosed everything already" when I asked to have it independently PPI'd. Never heard back after I told him every other 928 guy is gonna want to do thier own and not just take his word on it.

I spoke to the fellow at the shop where the car is located. When I talked to him, it was the first day of the listing. He was polite back then. I can't recall the specific details he told me, claimed he had done the tb/wp in the last year or so for the owner and the owner was just too busy to enjoy the car and wanted to move on.
Considering that the shop website promoted them as VW, BMW, Porsche experts, he was not real forthcoming with details.
I am originally from N. NJ and know the town the shop is in. It is a small upscale burb not far from the GW Bridge into NYC.

I would be interested in the car if there was someone nearby that could at least check out the car and tell me if there is something obviously wrong.

If it seemed worthwhile I could pay someone to check it out further

I may be that guy...This is a car you don't see often, and sounds like seller has had enough= wiggle room.

If I recall correctly that place used to buy/sell/repair German cars years ago.

Everyone probably called had some knowledge asking about a PPI. Sounds like it might have been a shady car...

Will the new owner please stand up for scrutiny? We want to know if you got hosed.

I almost went up there and bought it the day I saw the listing to use as my daily driver. Thats cheap even though I know certain problems can amount to mucho dinero.
