Agreed.

BTW, if the exterior is the original, single stage Guards red paint, that's also a huge positive from my perspective and its worth a mention (you got it). The original paint is miles-deep when buffed. It comes off red on the buffing pad (as opposed to a respray that's generally clear coated and doesn't polish out the same). There is a thick original layer on them. I'd rather have one buffed to the point of primer than a respray. (avatar car is a respray -- crazies didn't spray the roof though, go figure!)

If you did all the rubber (boots, hoses, injector seals with the injectors that were replaced, big vac and crankcase gas scavanging hoses) then its generally summarized as "intake refresh" at least among us doing that work.

Am hoping you got all the fuel lines replaced in the front of the car. The supply running up along passenger header pipe and the 4 (i think) under the air cleaner. The videos and pictures of 928 / 951 / 944 that have had fuel line rupture are pretty vivid. I'm surpised there hasn't been a nationwide alert or 60 minutes program highlighting what happens when an 80's fuel injected car does't get new fuel lines. They are rumored to rupture after folks start servicing other stuff in the engine bay.

One other key thing to consider is motor mounts. Every one I've seen has collapsed water filled mounts. Aftermarket ford ranger mounts were used by some of us until a quality change, now we are sourcing a certain volvo mount via 928sRUS. If the fan is nearing the bottom of the shroud, and not centered, it will need mounts.

It appeared to me in the video you had about this car for a while that there was possibly prior damage to the right rear corner of this car that had been poorly repaired. Is that so? Is that why you seem to be avoiding to show any picture of that corner of the car in your listing?

This car has had ONLY three prior owners. How can you tell that the rims are original that "came with the car?" The Police here know better.

I think you just can't help yourself. You are under arrest! Go to jail! Do not pass GO! Do not collect $200! Just go to jail.

Here, gone, back. Another moth to the Porsche flame, sort of. Aren't we all.

So you are learning what a resource this site is. And what it means to be upside down on a car. It shouldn't bother you that there is a record.

Do you still not understand that you started from negative territory re credibility and trust with your mistatements and outright misrepresentation (being nice here), and that does cause one to get out a magnifying glass and question everything??? Yeah, you're going to have a hard time here. You don't have to kiss anybody's rear, that was never the issue.

Piece O'work.

For some reason the sales hyperobole associated with these old cars gets off the map quick. Kudos for reviewing your approach with some open mindedness.

Same can be said for criticisms.

I don't have any cars that are worth even $6500.

Closest might be the 2- prior owner 86 we got with 73K miles.
Very clean, original paint with a few beauty marks (dents).
Of course, the car cost $2K delivered plus $5,500 parts.

It is very nice though. The 32V is powerful and smooth, but I like the 16v cars better.

The avatar car looks great, but front end collision resulted in a Euro front fender and hood transplant. It has 16V engine, late S4 transmission and is wonderful to drive. Its probably worth $4K max.

The problem is I don't know how to sell them. So somebody would try to flip each for $10K ish. Might succeed. Don't know. Whatever the market will bear I guess.

You know Chris, it's a lot of both mechanical and sales to maximize your return. Good mechanical/bad salesmanship... that's my quadrant. Few years ago I had an absolute sweetheart of a 78 5spd, all gone through, almost perfect. Distress sold it with little attention to the description. One month later it was re-listed and the guy pocketed 3k because the ad was really good. Killed me.

So we need to form a company... get all us mechanics together with the salesmen and pump out truly restored 928's. Just an idea.

I previously thought that was kind of bad form, but will do so from now on.
