Was a former attempt to repair arm rest. Looks like they tried to melt it back together. Going to get repair kit from Roger.
Anything additional I should do when making the repair?

go to the body shop supply store and get some urethane repair,
it comes in a caulk tube and its a 2 part mix you have about 2 mins to work it till it sets up then about 1 hour till you can sand it.
The stuff i got is made by Evercoat PN 100887
Maxim fast urethane adhesive.
cut a few strips of metal to add to the broken area and put a rivet or two in it then add the urethane use some under the metal and then another coat over it since it sets up so fast you gotta be quick.
The additional armrest support is a good thing ,
Also use another set of slightly bigger diameter washers so to distribute the load.
