I think yes, but...
The final drive ration is higher numerically. And you'll need to swap a few pieces to get the speedo pickup from the early car into the later trans. The later car reads speed from the ABS wheel speed sensors, not a magnet and reed switch pickup on the diff cover.
The 55k is a great number but seriously no way to verify unless you can relate the trans serial number to a car vin that can be CarFaxed. Does it come with a warranty?

Unless the existing box has LSD available to swap in, and even then it's a tough decision between rebuilding the early LSD vs manually pre-loading the PSD clutch packs with the bolt and a locknut.
