Go to the Dyno and get a baseline to "See" if your car is truely running a 100%, post the dyno sheet here and we can help you figure out what needs to be done from there.

Autothority chips or its cheap eBay clones are not as good as Porken's chip. If you do go with Porken chip and the '87 FPR it be wise to replace your rubber fuel lines in the engine bay with a new set from Roger at 928sRus to be on the safe side. That's what I need to do before I get his chips & FPR.

Look for his other thread about the chips some are getting 300+ rwhp with it.....If you want 350 or more your looking at supercharger territory with Murf928 and 928 Motorsports being the popular/available choices. Most expensive kit would be the Kuhn twin turbo but I don't think he has one made/available for our model year. With the S4 his kit was making 500+ rwhp.

Best Bang For Your Buck: Porken+FPR and Motorsports X-pipe from Roger (w/ high flow cats) like other's have mentioned.

Go with Porken, he is the only one that actually makes a chip for our cars these days and just so happens to be light years ahead of the old AutoAuthority chip of years ago. Can't beat the price and upgrade policy either. Of course you will need to do a intake/fuel line refresh first and it's the perfect time to do so as his better chips require changing the fuel regulator.

Fuel lines been replaced?

The desired chipset is used with the higher pressure regulator. Great time to do the safety work (if not already done).

I opened the exhaust up added an x pipe and put kens chips in, it had to be the biggest bang for the buck that I have done to my car. Although with no cats or resinators and a full flow flowmaster exhaust pipe it was pretty loud, I have since added another mufler.

You have an 86, not an 87, with respect to all engine compartment situations. 87 hose kit might or might not fit, not sure how that kit is arranged. Go to 928Rus for the right stuff.

86.5 has some jack point upgrade, front suspension and brake upgrade and revised number of teeth on the antilock sensors on the rear axles (and front hub) and matching ABS programming I guess. Same engine, engine management system, throttle configuration etc as 85/6.

The front fuel hose we use is Porsche (linking rails in front), rest are 30R9 highpressure fuel line and proper hose clamps for fuel, NOT 30R6 hose.

Very, very nice car pics btw. Good luck with it.! love the black color on early cars like this.
