I'm always amazed to hear about nice condition 928's like this in our area and never having seen them around. Sorry, no help here.

Cpayne criteria for buying a car:

1. Must be from the lower 48 and as far away from Virginia as geographically possible.

2. Must run, 'cause I'm drive'n it home, non-stop.

3. Don't need tools, too much weight.

Explanation: I'm a decisionmaker. And calculated risk taker. Live with it.

Charles, I like your formula! Makes it exciting!

You got me pegged Landseer. I was also hoping you would go out with me to pick this one up.

Let me know if I can help you. It is only 30 or so miles for me. You can also bring it to my shop for any pre trip repairs.

Emailed the owner earlier today but no response yet. I may need someone to go get it until I can pick it up. If I wired you the money could you pick it up if we are able to make a deal?

$6K for an '82 4.5L 3speed Auto?
That's the price I paid for my '80 AT, ten years ago.

I may be a little out of touch here, but whats the going rate for one of these now-a-days?

Nice looking 928!

I will do what I can to help. I can store it for a short time indoors, pick you up at airport also. Maybe close the deal at my shop will help.

He is poking fun at me. I just went to get my first one in Seattle this past August and now this one is in WA as well.

For someone that needs to sell by Saturday he is slow to respond to requests about maintenance and VIN etc. May just be a marketing thing to raise interest.

I don't know. Ask Charles!

(His first car choice was found in a hangar in North Dakota. He flew there and rejected the car. Flew home. Second choice was Seattle. Flew there. Drove it home. Now, another in the upper Northwest! I'd actually like to go on the trip, but gotta get some work instead.)

Some GREAT cars are in Virginia. Ed's Blue Max is from here, for instance.
