We have an Owner in Norway that needs one.

Thanks.

I don't understand why you would want the factory radio unless he is restoring the car to original to show it.

There are many Radio/CD players that can be installed and still look close to stock.

IMHO

I believe I still have the Blau that came with my 89. I will double check when I get home.

I don't question the questioner, I am merely their humble servant attempting to assist a 928 owner in need.
Of course when the request comes via direct email from the PCA hierarchy, that tends to wick up the motivation factor a bit.
I would presume that a head unit for an '89 GT wouldn't be any different than any other S4 of the period, but in all honesty I don't know what date ranges it would span.
The unit we're looking for is a Blaupunkt Berlin IQR 88.

Adam,
The IQR 88 Berlin was only supplied in the ROW market and not to the US/Can market.
I think it will be tough to find one over here.

I may have one from a '91 Euro GT. It is actually a Blaupunkt Radio + GSM Phone used in Europe. It is an am/fm/cassette/gsm phone. If interested, PM me.

One big difference is the prevalence of RDS over there.. most US radio's didn't have that. Another is the tuning range. We use odd decimals.. as in 107.7..and then jump to 107.9 (every two tenths). In Europe they go every tenth... so 107.7 then 107.8 etc...

US stereo tuner only stops on even (or is it odd) frequencies? In any case every second station can't be listened in Europe with US model radios. Or are 928 sets different than normal US sets?

Oops, Tom was faster. Normal west European range is 88.0-108.0 or something similar. Russia has traditionally had different higher Hz and Japan lower IIRR. This means Jap import cars have useless radios in Europe unless frequence converter is used which will move range higher.

Adam,

I certainly can get you the model number. I am heading straight to my son's soccer practice after work. I should be able to post it by around 8:30 pm EST.
