Possible entry into a 928 again and looking for a 5 spd
It's been about 7 or 8 years since I sold my last 928, an '89GT, and I have been getting the itch for one again. Went from the GT to a Vintage 550 spyder then 930 Turbo, then '72 long hood RSR 3.2l clone, then 993 and currently a 993tt. I know all the usual places to search and I am looking for a 5-spd car. There are a few out there that I am inquiring about, but if anyone knows of one not really advertised, let me know. I prefer '87 up but might consider '85-86. I am not looking for a garage queen show car because I like to drive it. My current 993tt has 89k miles on it. However, I don't want a beat car with shotty torn interior and cracked dash, pod and warped interior panels. I don't mind if it needs some routine maintenance, but I do want working AC. A Murphy forced induction car would also be of interest.

Doug, If I hear of another one I'll give you a ring.

Ziggy, is that you? If so, your old GT is owned by a fellow Rennlister - though not for sale to my knowledge. Your car, and it's 18" Cup II replica wheels, was the inspiration for my current ride.
I'll keep my eyes open for candidates meeting your criteria. Good luck with your search!

I am still waiting on more info from the current owner of the car. It is on my list.

Yes, ziggy(my 14 year old Weimeraner) is from my old email address and the velvet red metallic GT was mine. Sold it to a buyer from MN.

I saw that car in my search and the interior color has me stalled. I do have the link saved.

Doug's old GT is now owned by Mike McLeod (mcholdfast). I've followed it ever since Doug owned it, never having the funds to purchase it the two times it's been for sale. Oh how I lusted after that car. It's Velvet over linen interior is just gorgeous, and closely matches the crimson and cream of my alma mater - The University of Oklahoma Sooners.

If an automatic is a deal-killer, then ignore this post. Otherwise, this car looks like a blast and has the right names involved in its development:

The only thing I'd do is put a stock rear wing on it.

Your old flame is well loved and as Jarrod suggested, not for sale. I'm not surprised you're looking for another but I don't see how you could wait so long after owning this one. Damn I love that car. Thanks for letting it go so I could eventually get my hands on it. Were you the original owner?
Back on topic, good luck with your search and here's a post dated welcome back to the shark tank.

Quick hijack: what happened to the thread from the guy looking for a quick 928 acquisition? I could have sworn I posted in that thread today, but I can't find it anymore.
