I stand by my words...as long as they are mine and not lies spouted by others claiming they are my words.

But in all seriousness, this really has nothing to do with you, never has to my knowledge. I hope I am not wrong about that.

As they say in Texas AND North Carolina... "You don't have a Dog in this hunt" :-)

Cheers,
But there are already posts missing from this thread, specifically the one that Roger tried (failed) to quote about it being an open event. That post was made back in January of this year, and you have waited until today to refute it. It's not like you have not read this thread until today. You also can't play too sick to be online with the amount of posts you make on other forums.

You are right, I don't have a dog in this hunt. I enjoy the events but what I do not enjoy is the bull**** that has been going on. Don't act the innocent one here Dave, I know you are pissed that "a friend has taken food off your table" and this is your "way to get even".

Both you and Roger have not acted the best last year over this, it was every-ones hope that you would do as you said last year, and change things so everyone would be welcome. Sadly that is not the case.

Sean,

Exactly what I am talking about. You just made it personal.

Thanks for showing me your true colors too!

Cheers.

Almost all of it is incorrect, you sir are clueless ... BTW, of course I am fully aware of you stalking me on AR15.com.

If you think that was a lot of posts there, you should see all the ones at the largest Android Forum during my "downtime" last year. Hell, I was there so much they made me a Super Moderator for the fastest growing Andorid forum in thw world. It was a blast to be doped up and pick out one of the half a million members to BAN... Got to Ban over 30 people in one night...fun stuff!!

OH, and when you are taking 3600 mgs of Neurotin a DAY , making Themes for Droid phones is a blast. Do a search on Google for 928Droid, I am(or was last year before I stopped) actually quite famous in that community.

Do I need to list all the other places I went to stay sane during relapse?? The last thing I wanted to do was come here and try to post when I couldn't even tell you which end the motor is at....but I could make some purdy graphics on those meds!!

BTW, Where I go to post when I am bed ridden and drugged mindless to keep my sanity or any time in my private life is none of your business.

If you want to start dragging me thru the mud on all the mistakes I have made in my life ...go for it....but be very patient, it might take a while.

Continue on with your whatever it is you are attempting, you and I are done.

Yes... the post(s) mentioned to make quotes from did not come from anyone AT 928 Specialists, nor anyone sponsoring, funding or organizing the Sharks in the Mountains event.

So, in this very same thread... the question was posed:

And it was answered by the well-intentioned OP (but not the one with the say-so to answer):

To which, Roger jumped on that response (in the very next post), as an "All Clear"... again, not from anyone with the authority to answer:

That is great news and the Texas crew will be there in full force - Road Trip. [02-04-2011, 08:59 AM]
And then, only after several Rennlisters reminded him that it may actually be DR's decision (since it is his event)... he rescinds his previous commentary:

I do not speak for Dave and Jeannie, so I apologize if I gave the wrong information. And as has been pointed out to me by several PM's it says on the 928 SP website re: SITM that it is private event.

I'm sorry if I spoke out of turn. I'll be sitting in the corner if anyone needs me... [02-04-2011, 11:35 AM]
------------------------------------------------

Fast forward to 5/4/11... 3 months since that last quote above is when DR makes his first appearance in someone else's SITM thread. DR didn't ever state in this thread it was an "open event"... so searching for an "open event" quote from anyone except DR is a moot point... it's nobody else's decision.

From what can be gathered from the recent posts is it took time for DR to read the 350 or so posts in this thread and see how the thread's direction was going... for him to respond today to the very specific issues at hand.

A lot of things could have happened in the 3 months prior to today... like a personal (and private) telephone call from Roger to DR to clear the air and get the "all clear"... but apparently, that didn't happen. He knew DR was the only one that could say okay, yet took someone else's word. I was one of many I am certain, that sent a PM to Roger back in February suggesting that the personal phone call approach was the way to go -versus a public 1-sided conversation.

This is by no means a slam against Roger, you Sean, or any others of the 'Texas Faithful'... each and every one of you are top notch caretakers of 928's. Your dedication and abilities in restoring and/or improving our cars is beyond words... and a value to all.

Also it can be said, "your influence in this hobby and this forum precedes you". Therefore, a "Hi, I am Roger Tyson" or "Hello, I am Sean Ratts"... already speaks volumes. There is no need for business cards or sales flyers or any other such BS -at someone else's event.

Being in the hobby to the extent that you all are... you can't hide -customers will find you whether you attend as a business rival or fellow enthusiast.

But Sean, as David had mentioned it was an issue between the two of them -nobody else. Please see that as it is, because it would be great to see you and the Texas 928's up here again!

[caveat: DR, if I am out of place saying any of this -regardless of my sincere intentions of clarity- PM me and I will delete what is questionable. -Barry]

can't we all just get along????????

everybody needs to put on their big girl panties and use that bridge to get over it....

Ir is DR's party, he writes the check, He organizes it, and it is a great opportunity for all of us to socialize. There is no reason for this bickering. it is not good for anyone here, not good for dr, roger, anyone....

David,
Absolutely no problem what so ever and I fully understand your dilemma. I wish you and Jeannie tremendous success with what is the best 928 GTG bar none.
I AM the most professional person by definition and have no desire to attend a function where I am not welcome.
Anyone needing rooms at the BW let me know?
Roger

Roger,

Thank you, Thank you, you have no idea how much that means to me right now.

I do not see any good coming from continuing down this road. Any further discussion between the involved parties can be and should be taken offline.

DR's SITM thread is still open & will be stuck to the top until after the event:
