Default 92 Amethyst Metallic GTS on eBay

I would love to have this car, but I hate to think what the cost to get it shipped and federalized would be.

the idea of an amethyst GTS is compelling

Unfortunately the fact that this one is in Saudia Arabia and looks to be in fair condition at best is less compelling.

There are 928 owners in the middle east, this is likely a much better car for them.

The $40,000 asking price seems prohibitive as well considering the provenance, condition and location.

Great color, but those pics do NOTHING for me, it unfortunately looks like just another 928 that someones trying to get rid of.

Tom,

That girl is lovely!

It looks like James found some real lookers for his upcoming calendar. I like that one there!

Too bad you moved away before James got cranked up on the calendar stuff ... hanging with the models, drinking beer and taking pictures of 928s is a nice way to spend an afternoon ... ;-)

US model rear bumper can be original even though it looks strange in othervise normal ROW body. Gulf state cars had some strange standard options. Real VIN should be WP0ZZZ92ZNS800246 which is '92 MY auomatic GTS for C36 Arab Gulf States and has these options:

M323 Sticker, without ESE-Regulations
M327 Radio Köln
M403 Pressure cast 17" wheels
M411 License bracket, front
M423 Cassette container and coin box
M437 Comfort seat left
M438 Comfort seat right
M537 Left seat with built in memory and lumbar

There is only one NA GTS painted Amethyst. Love this color and this car lived within 30 miles of me for the first 7-8 years of its life. Saw it many times.... Wish I'd bought it when I had the chance!!

Ryan, I have the calendar with Miss Amy on the cover ready to go...down to less than 20 left I think so thanks to all my 928 friends who have supported this effort, the full line calendar didn't hardly sell at all, so I will just stick to the 928 calendars in the future. Just barely going to break even this year, so I guess I will be able to do it again next year.

Tim, buy it and I'll alert the WETL guys down in Houston to watch for it! Just write them a check for about $13k in '00 dollars and you will be good to go...so that might be $16k in today's money! They will be happy to take care of that for you! Can you imagine how nice a GTS $56k would buy you right here in the good'ole US of A?! A REALLY NICE ONE!
