do i have an LSD installed on board
my 9-6-8 ?
sure looks that way... sorry for coming to the 928 board with the question but, i made a rather odd discovery, today....
i never noticed this before but, both wheels spin in unison on my snowy driveway here in Mass. (yep, running a bit late getting down to Florida for the winter).
anyway, wtf... does this mean i have an LSD installed in transmission ??
also... late tuesday aftenoon... i was thinking i'd be so smart and take the "southern" route across Allegheny Plateau on my trip back east for Christmas.... what a dumbass i am..... turns out Beckley, West Virginia receives precipitation 220 days a year. in the winter it almost never stops snowing up there. so i get up there, and had to stop driving... despite that there was no snow going on for hundreds of miles in all directions, i managed to get myself snowed in for about 17 hours at the summit.... but at least i stranded myself at the new Hooters.... yep. Hooters in the middle of nowhere at the summit of I-64.... the chicks turned out to be pretty cute too, and they even appeared to have all their teeth.
overall the car did pretty good... but on a sad note, a few hours after i stopped, just a couple of miles up the road, a tractor trailer lost control on the snow, crossed the median, and killed the occupants of an oncoming car...

It could be that the surface is equally slippery for both wheels - I've seen that happen numerous times on non-LSD cars.
A more "proper" test for this should be taken on tarmac.
Oooor, just check the "option codes" sticker.

Forget about the LSD who is that in the avatar - - reminds me of Sophia Loren

the girl in my avatar is Tunisian-born, French model, Alex Kabi.
her Playboy Magazine photos are quite good, but i'd get banned....
my dif turned out to be non-LSD, but, i have a second, 968 box with low miles.... Scott from Advanced Automotion in Corpus Christi, TX is performing my "968 Turbo S replica" box good for 195 mph @ 6000 rpm, for when i do my Chevy LS2, V8 conversion, and the sourcing an LSD has also been solved.
