Actually that "Baffel" part is the stock GTS oil pan baffle.

The one I'm talking about is this:

That one - at least vissualy - makes a lot of sense. Product intro post was a bit before my time here though. Odd it does not show up with search if it's an available part...

Oops!

Thanks for the replies.
In I go again... I presume the new rubber o rings for the crossover and the bigger one for the filler neck can be reused?

Mark.

Yes, I took the cross over on and off with the same o-ring with no problem.

I used a new O ring for the filler (cheap to replace and the original was very flattened) and for under the 928 Intl oil deflector I used a new original style gasket w/ RTV. I also dismantled the filler bottom - opened up the side cavity areas, drilled some new vents in the shield plate & installed copper scrubbies all across and up the filler neck for better vapor separation (have a Provent sucking out the filler neck). After ~18 months the scrubbies are still nice and fresh looking - oil vapors seem to stop any oxidation...

Default When you get some time...

Alan my Provent project is still in the waiting room I never got a follow-up from the supplier to duplicate your parts order I’m still interested to proceed with this some time soon and keep on tracing bits of information here and there.

I have one of the 928 oil deflectors coming this week and I read a recommendation to use the 16V motor gasket with this under the filler neck . I would appreciate to get some of your pictures related to your modification or point me to some thread reference where they may be posted already.

Enjoy the Holidays and best wishes for the New Year
