Anyone know the value of an original prom chip set for an S4?

Difficult to say, as one could burn a duplicate fairly easily. The .bin files are floating around on the net and a chip burner isn't very expensive.

put it in a jewelery container, and put it with the car files, so the next owner can have it.

I'm giving the next owner the original ones out of my white 87 - I replaced them with later S4 chips I burned for the cost of a couple of 87C256 EPROMs, so that I could use the diagnostic port.
