S4 Cooling fan elect. plug P/N?
Anybody know the P/N for the plastic plug connector for the cooling fans? The terminals on both mine are fine but the plastic plug housings are coming apart.
Thanks

All of the electrical connections for the 928 are in the 944 section of PET. Short of that, call Roger!

Thanks Jim. I looked at the 944 catalog, but the descriptions are not very helpful to know how big the parts actually are. Coupled with Porsche's "creative" illustrations I was not sure if the pictured item was correct.

I think Rog just left for the post office. He's playing Santa, the sleigh was full.

No rush. Both fans are working fine right now. Just trying to get the info together to put them on my next order (next month some time I hope.) and be preventive.

AS an interim measure wrap the connector plugs in "rubber welding tape" which is a self amalgimating tape (That is it will form a solid rubber beal around the connectors plugs).
I have done this on my 928 and also used it extensively on my yacht.
To find this type of tape try marine suppliers/chandlers.

Thanks Tails, that self-vulcanizing tape is great stuff. The rubber shrouds on both plugs are fine. The plastic terminal housings are breaking apart and making it tough to ensure the wire end terminals are securely connected to the blades in the receptacle on the cooling fan motor.
