Are these typical for 928 wiring?
I was going thru my sons 928 (87 auto)
I see these relays stuffed under the CE
Then these "ports"? back by the battery.
I'm thinking..
Alarm Guy?
Stereo Guy?
the SAME guy?!?!?!
your guess?

Not good especially the tap into the existing wiring in CE.
The 928 electricals are difficult enough to deal with without the inclusion of "jumper circuits".
You will also need the wiring diagrams for the 87 S4 and these are contained in the WSM or in Jim Moorehouse Technical CD obtainable from www928srus.com.
You need to look at Alan's 928 Electrical Primer. It is a free download at the following site:
http://www.928-electrics.com/Porsche/928_electrics.htm
You will be able to identify where the tap ins have occured and would suggest that you change these tap in to spare fuse holders in CE panel.
For relay and fuse locations etc if not on back of CE wooden cover go to www.928gt.com for free download.

The first pic is an old-school light flash for an alarm.
I suspect the relay turns-on and the flasher does its job flashing the parking lights.
The second pic is for a cell phone. You will find the remaining wires run throughout the car. Removing them is your call and usually requires a fair amount of interior dis-assembly.
Be careful with the light flasher as one leg of the relay is connected hot to B+
Please disconnect the battery ground before doing any of the wire removal.

I especially like the blue vampire tap and the numerous butt-splicing that's going on in there. At least there's a fuse holder, but whether it prevents the release of "magic smoke" is doubtful. Once the magic smoke is released, it can't re-captured.
