There is both a fresh air system and a vapor recovery system. At least on the early cars the fan ran at a low level all the time to prime the fresh air system. Where is the other end going?

Thanks guys!

Took another look at the tube this morning, and it is only about 4 inches long, connects no nothing. It is mounted inside a circular bracket that is welded to the inner b-pillar. It is not interfering with anything, so I think I will leave it alone An early Easter Egg from Porsche?

On a different note, are the rear wheel hubs on the GTS the same size (minus the spacers) as the S4/GT cars? As I am now getting more space for tires with the GTS fenders, I wonder if I can re-use the rear spacers (17mm or 21mm, can't remember for sure) I removed from the rear hubs in order to fit the Fikse FM10's?

Cheers!
Carl

Default Finally....Paint Time!

Funny how time flies, it's been a long time since I had any updates on my project. Life has a tendency to get in the way, and after my company filed chapter 11, and I went through a divorce, I wasn't sure when I was going to get to this point, but today I can say: PAINT TIME!

The car was picked up today, and is on it's way to the paint shop, Visual FX, for some GTS fender grafting, sunroof delete modifications, side-marker delete, rear wiper delete, rear bumperetts delete and door lock delete. Pictures coming again I hope next month.

Cheers!
Carl

I hope that this is not impertinent, but its intriguing that a page back in 2012 you said you had a patient wife and now you say you had a divorce. Same person?

Hi Stan,

It will be HoK Jet Black (S2-25) with a blue/ice pearl effect and the
USC01 Kosmic Urethane Show clear coat. Had originally planned a red pearl effect, but I think the blue/ice is more subtle yet creates more sparkle and depth.

Cheers,
Carl

Love the project. Really excited to see it come together. I have plan to do one like this for my son.

you might consider a cherry pearl or a green pearl,
I did a Blue pearl and its wasnt very noticeable till night time,
when the florescent light showed on it

Check out some of the Range Rover special colors
