Default EVO

Just got an EVO MR for winter use. 4 snow tires. Really nice car with Quick acceleration and great traction. Put my 928 to covered sleep till May. Going to be a difficult decision which to drive in warmer weather.

Nice mac! How about some pics?

i have a Speed 3 for daily driving and I also put 4 winter tires on, incredible in the snow but dry traction is scary. I can leave a cloud of tire smoke on the highway if I accelerate too hard?

Enjoy it!

Will post some pix. It will be interesting to see if I can beat the local 928's (2 with S/C and one with 150 shots of NX) next spring.

Performance-wise I understand this, cool factor not really much of a decision in my mind.

Those cars are sweet. Get a new rear truck lid sans spoiler.

Completely agree with the spoiler thing. This is another one of those cars that can be scary fast with a little bit of work. Not sure about reliability though, I've never owned one.

I think this is the one a buddy of mine has. Yes a little pocket rocket. But he gets tires about every 3K miles. The dealer blames it on the mechanical 4wd?

Is that the one with the paddle shifter? I think it drinks gas like the 928

Every 3K? That could get expensive fast. There must be something wrong there.

I used to have an Evo IX, tuned up to about 390bhp.

Great piece of kit, I still miss it.... don't miss the servicing every 4,500 miles mind you, particularly when I do about 25-30,000 a year!

Oh, a word of warning, get ready to become paranoid about knocking front suspension, boost leaks and misfires!

Alright Mac... you know you're gonna have to lend me the keys to that sucker. Might also need to put me in your will. Got any unmarried daughters?

Oh yeah, you may also need to get used to the gauge moving down, then up and then back down again... horseshoe shaped tank

Oh and I would try and go too quick without a boot spoiler... after a trip down an Autobahn in mine I can confirm that they aren't massively stable beyond about 150, even WITH a boot spoiler
