Default Intake Refresh

So, let the games begin. Got all the parts, except the ISV cause you can't get that at Autozone on the web any more. Gonna check mine when I take it out and order a new one from Roger if it needs it. I'll try the Wally Juice first though to see if that cleans er up. REALLY looking forward to having WOT mapping and see if she boogies even better after that.

Thanks Rob for the intake sealing plates. Mucho Gracias, broken taco and all that jazz.

Got an oil splash guard thingy from Mark too. Figured, why not put that in also.

Thermostat and associated seals (all of them) were done by Greg Brown a few year before I bought the car so I am not gonna touch the work of the master.

Got the car up on the lift bars to ease the back stress (though the P90X is the bomb on giving you a stronger core that'll make it easier). Heated garage, lots of room.

I got beer and steaks if anyone wants to come to frigid Iowa and join in the fun! Prolly this weekend is out cause I gotta fly to Northern Wisconsin (oh joy! more cold) and make sure the house up there isn't a block of ice cause my stupid cousins turned off the heat or something.

So XMas is out and new years is out. Jan 8th weekend anyone!!!!

See the second part of the post "GTS dynamic kickdown mod done; 928 Int'l oil filler neck "block off plate" installed" (post #87 in the "Yet another top-end refresh (WAS: Trying to fix irregular/poor idle ...)" thread) for a modification you might need to make to the "block off plate" to assure a good seal.

Also consider the "'94/'95 GTS-style dynamic kickdown upgrade" modification while you're in there.

And just replace everything (including the ISV) while it's easy.

Jeff i would suggest that when you fit the oil fill tube block off plate used Hondabond to seal it , test fit it first to make sure it sits flush on the block.
Then use HB on the oil fill tube base and on the O ring, this should prevent future leaks'

Another tip to consider is when installing the intake I find if you place the injectors temporarily in place in aligns the intake gaskets perfectly before the intake is torqued down.

It also give comfort that the injectors are fully seatedand covers the holes to prevent debris
