castrol superclean works well but must be diluted.i have seen it dull paint if used too strong.as for the parts washer,good old kerosene.the cheapest compared to thinner or any other solvent.

smyth1 castrol superclean does not work well unless you consider metal corrosion on aluminum as working well read the label and see that there are very specific warnings against using it on aluminum theres a reason why it chews on paint anything that does that is likely to be rough on the aluminum if you are worried about rust on steel pieces the same warnins apply castrol has sold a lot of that stuff to folks who cant read and don't know how to use the punctuation or shift keys on their keyboards

This Is a good way to get cleaner if you work out in the mine.
